HOW TO PROPERLY SPECIFY A SLIP RESISTANT FLOOR (WMG-101)

This course was designed to inform participants about the new standards and guidelines for floor safety management. This course details the importance of friction in walkway design. This course promotes the creative use of floor materials which pass newly released manufacturing standards. Participants will become familiar with the protocol for measuring the available friction of any hard walkway surface. Ultimately, this course will help prevent slip, trip, and fall incidents.

Course Objectives:

  • Understand the significance of available friction on a hard walkway surface using the tribological system.
  • Comprehend the responsibilities of the duty holder in accordance with ANSI and ASTM Standards, as well as OSHA Guidelines.
  • Specify appropriate walkway materials based on walkway geometry.
  • Measure the coefficient of friction using the latest technology in tribometry.

When: Every Wednesday

Timeframes vary from week to week:  12PM-1PM EST or 5PM-6PM EST

*This course is 100% online via Microsoft Teams with a highly trained certified walkway safety  specialist.
